I'm Back!

I just got back from a two-day trip to Vermont and  up-state NY.  I went to Vermont to visit a friend's wonderful fiber mill (Hampton Mills,  Richmond, Vermont).  Then we traveled to Burlington and spent a great day there, shopping and hanging out by the lake.  From there, we traveled to Lake George, NY to spend the night and enjoy a little relaxation.  I do have to say, spinning is such a part of me that for the first time ever, I think I was in withdrawal.  I mean I was totally craving fiber and a wheel.  Usually I take my drop spindle with me, but this time I only took some knitting (obviously that wasn't enough!)

So last night, I was back on my wheel, spinning a beautiful thick & thin yarn........................I love what I do ~

Are you ready for fall??

Although I dread the long winters here in New England, I do love the fall, and I can always tell when  it's coming because the orders start to build.  Orders have been starting to roll in, so I've been working on custom orders for a few weeks now.  I do try to spin up a yarn for the shop here and there in between so I  can keep the shop filled.  At times, when you look at the shop, and it seems like I'm not really adding many yarns,  trust me... I'm spinning!  I'm working on special orders ;)

Wow! It's been sooooo long since I've blogged.  I really think I should start blogging again on a regular basis.  I've been so busy and caught up in this whirlwind of sorting and dyeing fibers, spinning, custom orders, packing orders, facebook, twitter & trying to enjoy the very limited summer time we have, that I've abandoned my blog. (And this is not the first time)

So, once again, am going to try and keep up with my blog!

Hello again!

Okay so December totally flew by!  I realize I haven't blogged lately, but I am back with lots of scrumptious fibers and thinking of many new colors for 2011. I'm reallllly looking forward to many beautiful spring colors. My head is already filled with a variety of color combos.

This is a custom order that I just finished. It was spun to look like "Fairy Garden" which was a vegan yarn that I had made earlier this year.  This however, is not a vegan yarn but looks pretty close to the original.
